It is important for patients with breast cancer that they keep track of their side effects during chemotherapy treatment as it can have a large impact on the success of the treatment and the quality of life.
In general, this information is gathered at doctor appointments.
Problem is that the doctor may receive this information too late or the patient might have a problem evaluating it correctly (when, which and with what intensity they have appeared).
Possible solution for this is gathering side effects information via mobile application.
Because there are no viable solutions available, we developed a mobile application for the Android platform.
This allows users to keep track of their side effects during chemotherapy; manage doctor appointments; keep track of therapies, cycles and additional drugs; have the ability to show various graphs; provides them with helpful links and publications on the topic; have the ability to set reminders and share all of the information with their doctor.
Currently the application offers all of the above to the patients with breast cancer, but it can be simply modified for other types of cancer with replacing the database.
