Virtual reality is one of the approaches for the digitalization of industrial systems and processes which are becoming an important part of improvements to achieve more efficient monitoring, control and optimization of industrial real-time processes. The thesis explores the process of digitalization through virtual reality in more detail. An approach to establishing a connection between the device and virtual reality is analyzed and the necessary hardware and findings are presented. The research is supported by the development of a prototype virtual reality system with a modern hydraulic device that also serves as a reference for the research. In virtual reality, the device is animated in real-time and measured data is displayed. We checked the device animation's display adequacy and checked the value of the shown values in the virtual environment. After a more detailed analysis of the created communication system, we find that virtual reality offers the advantage of an intuitive real-world approach while also allowing the flexibility of the computing environment. The use of virtual reality technology is expanding rapidly in engineering research education and has enormous potential for use in development and manufacturing processes in the industry of the future.
