Ekumenizem Josipa Juraja Strossmayerja in Slovenci : ob 200-letnici rojstva in 110-letnici smrti

Josip Juraj Strossmayer je bil zelo pomembna osebnost 19. stoletja za Hrvate pa tudi širše. Prispevek se osredotoča zgolj na njegovo razumevanje ekumenizma in na njegov odnos oz. sodelovanje s Slovenci. Strossmayer si je nadvse prizadeval za edinost kristjanov in goreče želel, da bi bili posebno Slovani eno v Kristusu. Pri tem pa ni pozabil tudi na posameznike, ki so bili v stiskah.

Abstract

Josip Juraj Strossmayer was a very important figure of the 19th century for the Croats and beyond. The paper focuses solely on his understanding of ecumenism and his relationship and cooperation with Slovenes. Strossmayer was very committed to the unity of Christians and had a fierce desire for the Slavs, particularly, to be one in Christ. In doing so, he did not forget about individuals who were in distress.
