Abstract
Diplomsko delo opisuje razvoj kegljiščnega sistema in izdelavo pomanjšane makete kegljišča. Kegljiščni sistemi v Sloveniji so večinoma že nekoliko zastareli in potrebujejo nadgradnjo. S prihodom novih tehnologij je danes izdelava zanesljivega sistema enostavnejša in cenejša.

Title:Automation of a bowling alley using a PLC
Abstract:
The thesis describes the bowling system and the production of a scaled model of the bowling alley. Bowling systems in Slovenia are mostly outdated and require an upgrade. With the arrival of new technologies, production of a reliable system is simpler and cheaper nowadays. After visiting some of the nine-pin bowling alleys in Slovenia, I decided to make a bowling model. I set out to create a bowling design that will be simple, reliable and will enable further upgrading of the system according to users' wishes. At the beginning of the thesis, a presentation of the basic characteristics of a bowling alley are presented and the bowling game is described. The work continues with a detailed description of the operation of the bowling alley and the presentation of individual mechanical and electronic elements that enable the game to be performed. Pictures and technical data are added to the elements descriptions. After the introductory presentation of bowling alley, the production of the model of the bowling system is presented. The chapter describes the entire creation of the model, with added images, plans and the final description of the operation. Finally the results and responses that I obtained after the developing and verifying the model are presented. I also give ideas and upgrades that might be possible.
