Abstract
V magistrskem delu obravnavam podajanje informacij o zgodovini s pomočjo ilustracije.

Title:Manual for building and rebuilding castles and forts
Abstract:
In my master's thesis I discuss the conveying of information about history with the help of illustration. The goal is to present the historical theme to the reader using a type of illustration that imitates the characteristics of the chosen era. I want to present defensive architecture from the period of transition between middle and early modern ages. For this purpose I wrote the contents, made illustrations, designed and crafted a book that in all characteristics mimics printed books of the early 16th century. While doing this I researched all phases of making books, described them theoretically and used that knowledge to make a final product. For the purpose of presenting the fake book, which may be unintelligible to a potential reader, I made a special publication. A small book in form of a catalogue presents the contents, explains its meaning, and places the forged book in context, thus bringing it closer to the reader. While writing the contents of the catalogue I used some findings of social psychology, and while designig it, I studied the common characteristics of different scientific and popular scientific publications. As a final product I made two books, both of them dealing with the problem of persuasion by imitating the typical samples from the desired field. With the final products' contents I wish to cast doubt on readers' knowledge of history and thus encourage them to explore, research and investigate, learning by inference.
