Abstract
V diplomski nalogi bom preučevala medijske repertoarje osnovnošolskih otrok, kjer bom s pomočjo uporabe kvalitativne in kvantitativne metode ugotavljala vzorce vedenja in percepcije otrok starih od 9 do 15 let. To bom dosegla s pomočjo kvantitativne metode ankete in kvalitativne metode fokusne skupine in medijskih dnevnikov.

Title:Media repertoires of primary kids
Abstract:
People use and access to a wide variety of media and technology. New technology and new media do not just follow us on a daily basis, they also shape us into a human being we are today. This applies especially to young individuals, who are growing up with new technology and new media – with which they evolve, play and communicate. Today we can no longer speak about dominance of a particular media, technology or media platform, as media consumption has radically changed and diversified. With arrival of new technology, media use has become extremely diverse and varied. The intention of this thesis is to research media repertoires of elementary children through integration of qualitative and quantitative research method. The intention is to identify patterns of behavior and perception of children aged 9 to 15 years old. Described will be accomplished through use of standardized survey and qualitative method of focus group and media diaries. The concept of media repertoires allows us to avoid shortcomings of traditional media use research and allows us to form or just study typical media repertoire of a specific audience. Moreover, the sample of the research is specific, because it only includes kids that live in the rural areas - more precisely in Koroška, Štajerska, Prekmurje and Primorska region.
