In this thesis I analyse Iztok Osojnik's collections. He is considered as one of the most prolific Slovenian poets from the end of 20th century. The first part of the thesis focuses on the presentation of his life, creations and placement in the literary period.
In the second part of the thesis, I analysed seven collections that were created between 1981 and 2010: Indija ali potovanje na dno noči, Roman o roži, Luske in perje, Ogledala v času vojne, Razglednice za Darjo, Spleen Berlina in Iz novega sveta. I was particularly interested in the development of the motif of travelling and descriptions of cities and events that the author experienced during his travels around the world.
