Abstract

Title:
Parent's motives for inclusion of preschool children in after-school traning in urban and rural environments
Abstract:
The master's degree researches the parents' motives for inclusion of their children in after-school physical training according to the environment they live in – urban or rural. The research includes 15 parents from urban environment whose children are included Gibalnica Hop-hop and 15 parents from rural environment who are included in Makole sports society. We did interviewes with the parents that included 14 questions about the parents' physical activity and physical activities of their children. We recorded the interviews with smartphone and then typed them in Word program. We compared the answers according to whether the parents come from urban or rural environment. The result show that the most important motive for urban parents is »development and improvement«, whereas rural parents name »physical activity of children« as their primary motive. Both movies ranged high in both environments. Other motives are different in different environments. Rural parents less often include their children in organised physical activities. Other findings include the problem of low offer of such activities in rural environments, but on the other hand lower expenses for them. The research offers insights in parents' views of such physical activities for children and the motives for inclusion of their children. The research can serve as an insight into the low offer of such activities in rural environments and can encourage individuals to increase such offer as a business opportunity.
