The aim of the master's thesis titled »A new dimension of knitwear in interior design« is a collection of knitted jacquard patterns and a collection of knitted decorative home products. Knitting is an important part of the folk creativity, which is repeatedly occurring at all times and with constant improvements. Knitting does not reject innovations and modern technologies, but accepts and intertwines with them. Master’s thesis shows experiments and products that are the result of intertwining of jacquard knitting technique with the emerging three-dimensional printing technology. Author’s microphotographs served as the basis for the development of jacquard patterns and at the same time added a new content dimension to knitwear. Investigated possibilities of three-dimensional printing on the knitted jacquard are presented after. By combining knitting and printing, a collection of products for house decorative use in the interior is designed. Knitting tradition, which began as manual work, has been transferred into today's digital age. With the addition of three-dimensional geometry, its value and modernity have been increased.
