Slikovni zemljevid planinskih poti v Logarski dolini

Magistrsko delo obravnava slikovni zemljevid kot izdelek znotraj kartografije in znotraj ilustracije ter definira njegov odnos do obeh disciplin. Opisuje njegovo obliko in namen. Razlaga pojme, ki se subjekta dotikajo. Skozi obe disciplini raziskuje njegovo zgodovinsko ozadje, kjer se odpre še poglavje vedutnega slikarstva. Ob pregledu vseh starih zemljevidov, ki prikazujejo topografijo gora Kamniško-Savinjskih Alp, predstavi kartografe, ilustratorje, slikarje in raziskovalce, ki so se s prikazom tega območja ukvarjali. Praktičen del obsega izdelavo slikovnega zemljevida, ki uporabniku obenem podaja resnične in uporabne kartografske podatke ter skozi likovno govorico pripoveduje osebnoizpovedno pripoved. Združuje uporabnost klasičnega zemljevida z ilustrativnimi elementi, ki uporabnika dodatno informirajo in s tem išče dodatne razsežnosti znotraj kartografije in ilustracije.

Abstract

The master's thesis discusses the pictorial map as a product within cartography and illustration and defines its relation towards both disciplines. It describes the pictorial map’s form and purpose and explains the terms pertaining to the subject. The historical background of the pictorial map is examined through both disciplines, thus opening the chapter of veduta painting as well. While examining the old maps depicting the topography of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps, the thesis presents all the cartographers, illustrators, painters and researchers who have worked on the depiction of this area. The practical part covers the pictorial mapmaking, wherein the map provides the user with the real and useful cartographic data and at the same time tells a personal confession story by means of artistic language. It combines the usefulness of the classical map with the illustrative details, which provide additional information to the user, thus searching for additional dimensions within cartography and illustration.
