Motivation represents the power and the will of an individual to behave and act towards the realization of the objective pursued. Factors, which positively affect the behaviour of a person, are motivating factors. If an organization wishes to be successful, it must establish reasons for employees' lack of motivation and take all necessary steps to eliminate those reasons.
The purpose of the graduation thesis is to study the field of motivation and establish what mostly affects the motivation of employees in the chosen organization. The research was carried out with a questionnaire.
The results of the research show that good interpersonal relationships and positive atmosphere in an organization mostly impact the participants in the research. The aforementioned factors are also the main reasons due to which the employees would leave an organization. Among more important motivating factors are also praise and the possibility of a personal development. The proposal to the management of the organisation in to grant recognition or to express praise for well-performed work, to maintain good interpersonal relationships on all levels in the organization and to inform the employees in due time regarding any changes in the field of their work.
