Diploma thesis is based on the process of making a brochure and a collection of photographs. The product is an example of how this kind of printed matter can be used and an example of one of the many different contents that it can have. The goal of the design was to support its commercial nature. A brochure and photography are primarily two independent products, that can be separately used for commercial purposes. Because they complement each other perfectly, they are here combined together into one product, which is a menu for a hypothetical restaurant with commerical food photographs. Together they serve to the purpose of selling and advertising the company's offer.
The theoretical part is describing the definitions of all the necessary parts of the product. This diploma thesis firstly talks about the making of the brochure and menu design. In the next part it deals with the photographs and advertising.
The practical part consists of results and the discussion about the product, which talks about the procedures of making each of the components and includes the concept, techniques and problems that occur. It goes into detail about the process of the graphic design, making and styling of the food and taking photographs. The practical part also offers some advices, that can be helpful to others that work in mentioned areas of expertise.
