Abstract
Neprofitne organizacije predstavljajo pomembno entiteto sodobne družbe, saj delujejo z namenom zagotavljanja splošnega družbenega interesa. Tega sestavlja javni interes, interes večine, ki ga implementirajo javne neprofitne organizacije, pa tudi zasebne, in skupni interes oziroma interes manjšine, za zagotavljanje katerega skrbijo zasebne. Za čim boljše zagotavljanje interesa prebivalcev morajo biti dobro upravljane in vodene, prav tako pa morajo poslovati z zadostnimi finančnimi sredstvi. Javne so deležne konstantnega državnega ali občinskega proračunskega financiranja, medtem ko zasebne stalnega financiranja pravzaprav nimajo. V magistrskem delu sem se osredotočila predvsem na javni in zasebni zavod, ki delujeta na področju mladinske kulture. Analizirala sem delovanje obeh zavodov v letih med 2013 in 2017 ter ju medsebojno primerjala z namenom ugotavljanja podobnosti in razlik pri upravljanju, vodenju in financiranju. Javni zavod je v lokalnem okolju pomemben za zagotavljanje širokega spektra mladinskih programov, zasebni zavod pa s svojimi programi zapolnjuje vrzeli v ponudbi ter predstavlja prostor za povezovanje raznolikih organizacij, kar pozitivno vpliva na nastajanje novih vsebin. Čeprav ima preučevani javni zavod zagotovljeno konstantno financiranje, zaradi interesa mladine iz okolja ni zapadel v rutinsko upravljanje. Skrb, da bi preučevani zasebni zavod zapadel v rutino, je odveč, saj se mora že za samo preživetje ves čas ažurno odzivati na potrebe iz okolja, ves čas iskati različne vire financirana, hkrati pa biti upravljan in voden dovolj inovativno, da se prilagodi tako potrebam, željam kot zahtevam obiskovalcev in financerjev.

Title:Comparative analysis of management and financing of public and private non-profit institutions in the field of youth culture. A study of Youth centre Velenje and Youth institution of Šalek valley eMCe
Abstract:
Non-profit organisations represent an important entity of modern society since they operate with the purpose of providing general social interest. Interest comprised of public interest, the interest of the majority, which is implemented by public non-profit organisations, as well as private and common interest, or the interest of the minority, provided by private organisations. To best contribute to the interest of citizens they have to be well managed and led, as well as operate with sufficient financial means. Public institutions get constant national or municipal budgetary financing, while private institutions do not actually have regular financing. In my dissertation I focused mostly on the public and private non-profit institutions that operate in the field of youth culture. I analysed the operation of both institutions from 2013 to 2017 and compared them to determine similarities and differences in management, leadership and financing. The public non-profit institution is important in its local environment for providing a full range of youth programmes, while the private non-profit institution, with its programmes, fills in the gaps and represents a space for connecting different organisations, positively affecting the creation of new content. Even though the studied public institution has regular financing it has not gone into routine management because of the interest of the local youth. Concern that the studied private institution will fall into routine is unnecessary because, for its own survival, it has to be informed of the needs of the environment, has to search for different sources of financing while at the same time be managed and led innovatively enough to adjust to the needs, wishes and demands of visitors and financiers.
