Abstract
Ta pojav v slovenskem okolju sega v konec 19. stoletja. Z dobljenimi rezultati smo zasledili ključne točke razvoja reklamnega plakata v Sloveniji in jih stisnili v ključne smernice razvoja: risba, fotografija, slogan in zgodba na reklamnem plakatu.

Title:Poster Advertisement in Slovenia
Abstract:
This diploma thesis discusses different topics of development of advertising posters’ graphic design in Slovenia. Poster advertising has a special role in modern life. With the expansion of production, trade and especially the need for advertising for various products and activities, there came also an advertising poster, which was subject to analyze. This phenomenon in the Slovene environment dates back to the end of the 19th century. The need to communicate with the public and wider crowd was the fundamental reason for the poster's development. The technological development of various printing techniques has enabled the development of graphic design and the poster itself. Everything from a high press in wood cutting technique to the emergence of photolithography, with which the development of the poster in Slovenia gained its first golden period, enabled the development of advertising through posters that we now see at every step. When Slovenia became an independent country, the economic, political and cultural development began, which is also noticeable on the poster. Development of the style in the advertising poster has an important role. We divided it into two periods in our diploma thesis: a poster at the beginning of the 20th century and a poster during World War II. Two more important parts of the diploma thesis are an overview of contemporary formats for advertising posters: light-emitting, jumbo and smart posters; and a practical part in which we reviewed and analyzed the advertising poster of brands Cockta and Peko throughout history, from the creation of the brand to the present days. With the obtained results we extract the key points of the development of the advertising poster in Slovenia and determine them into the key development directions: drawing, photography, slogan and story on the billboard. With these guidelines we can point at the constant growth and development of advertising in Slovenia.
