The thesis deals with the multi - residential building named Center starejših Izola. The building is located in coastal town called Izola and it is planned for sheltered housing. By using Sofistik software we analysed timber roof structure, typical horizontal and vertical construction made by reinforced concrete, to the Eurocode standards. One of the main purposes of this thesis is to synthesize and use knowledge from the field of analysing and dimensioning different construction types with a new software.
Besides of the short presentation of the building the first part contains imposed load specification and a brief description of used 3D calculation model for reinforced concrete structure. From there we proceed to the second 3D model for analysing roof structure, dimensioning and anchoring individual roof elements to prevent wind lift. Selected cross-section dimensions and important details are presented on attached roof plan. In the last part we focused on designing reinforcement in slab and walls according to the collected results. Designed reinforcement is displayed on a reinforcement drawings, which are attachments to the thesis.
