Abstract

Title:Development and application of a device for reading and manipulation of the CAN-bus network
Abstract:
The master's thesis describes the fabrication, use and operation of the device, which is a key tool for reading and manipulating the CAN network. The purpose of making such a device is to facilitate the work of converting a fossil fuelled vehicle to electric drive. The device will help us to find all crucial signals for the vehicle's conversion, and furthermore help us to replace them when the components that we no longer need are removed. The master's thesis consists of three parts. The first part presents the CAN bus network and its purpose. The second part describes an own try to design a tool for accessing the CAN network, its structure, components and software required for its operation. In the third part, the method of reading and writing to the network is presented. In this part, various tests are also presented. The results were carried out on three different vehicles. It mainly describes the problems that we encounter in the identification of signals and the determination of the associated sensors, together with some of the achievements to which the device contributed.
