This dissertation analyzes strain and stress states of composite construction with variable cross section, supported by elastic foundation. Analytical, numerical and experimental analysis of slalom skis and a corresponding composite construction with a constant cross section was carried out. Numerical analysis was conducted according to the large deflection theory with finite element method. Boundary conditions and applied loads, corresponded to standard deflection test performed at company Elan. Comparison between analytical, numerical and experimental results was carried out.
