Vzhodna fronta skozi izkušnjo slovenskega prisilnega mobiliziranca

Magistrsko delo skuša skozi osebno zgodbo mojega sorodnika, Janeza Brinovca, prikazati slovenskega mobiliziranca v drugi svetovni vojni, ki se je znašel na vzhodni fronti. Skušala sem najprej opisati njegovo življenje pred vojno, raziskati vpoklic v Državno delovno službo (Reichsarbeitsdienst - RAD) in posledičnim vpoklicem v nemško vojsko (Wehrmacht) ter izkušnjo na fronti. Za pisanje magistrskega dela sem uporabila njegove dokumente in dnevnik, ki ga je pisal na fronti. Oboje sem povezala z dostopnim arhivskim gradivom in pomembnejšo literaturo.

• Title: The Eastern front through the eyes of a forcibly mobilized Slovenian

Abstract

This Master’s thesis seeks to show a Slovenian World War II. conscript’s Eastern Front experience through the personal story of my relative, Janez Brinovec. In order to do so, I have first described his life before the war, before then covering his enlistment into the Reich Labour Service (Reichsarbeitsdienst - RAD), his subsequent enlistment into the German Army (Wehrmacht) and his experience on “the front”. When preparing this thesis I have relied on artifacts and diaries, written by Janez Brinovec whilst serving on the Eastern Front and preserved by my family. All written sources are linked along with accessible archival material and significant literature.
