The purpose of the diploma thesis is to plan the overhaul of the existing website for Erasmus+ exchanges at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering in Ljubljana.
The theoretical section provides information on the Erasmus+ program and the Internationalization strategy of Slovenian higher education. A brief overview of the faculty’s website and User-Centered Design is presented. The experimental section provides a detailed analysis of the existing website dedicated to Erasmus + exchanges, as well as the analysis of good practices of other faculties. Interviews on the renovation of the site have also been provided. These interviews were carried out with the relevant representatives of the faculty, students who were at the exchange, and students who would like to take part of exchange. Under the heading of the strategy plane the goals of the new website are presented, as well as the target groups. The new site is shared on subpages in the scope plane. Its functionalities and characteristics are described there as well. The experimental section also presents a survey, which was carried out in the framework of the thesis. In the results and discussion section there is an analysis of the conducted survey, as well as a discussion of the results. The contents and elements that the subpages includes and the way that they are given is presented in the results and discussion. The structure plane of the new website is also presented in this section, where the information architecture is described and displayed. A new way to access the Erasmus + Exchange website and its placement on the faculties website is presented as well.
The results of the diploma thesis led to the renovation plan of the existing website the Faculty for Natural Sciences and Engineering, dedicated to Erasmus+ exchanges. The diploma work could also inspire other faculties while planning the renovation of their website for Erasmus+ exchanges.
