Abstract
V diplomskem delu je predstavljen razvoj kolekcije tekstilnih vzorcev z naslovom Graffiti, written by life. Inspiracija izhaja iz grafitov. Za razumevanje grafitov so v začetku teoretičnega dela ti opredeljeni. Sledi razmišljanje o problematiki, če so grafiti umetnost ali zgolj vandalizem. V eksperimentalnem delu sledi implementiranje teoretičnih spoznanj o grafitih v tekstilnih vzorcih. Grafite najprej povežem s svojo osebno zgodbo.

Title:Graffiti as textile patterns
Abstract:
The thesis describes the development of a collection of textile patterns, with the title "Graffiti, written by life". The inspiration originates from graffiti. The theoretical part defines what graffiti is and researches the problematic topic, if graffiti is a form of art or just vandalism. It also introduces the concept of public art and what happens to graffiti, when they pass from the streets to the galleries. The history and development of graffiti from prehistoric times to present day is briefly presented, along with some important representatives and a short development of graffiti in Slovenia. The experimental part applies the theoretical knowledge of graffiti to textile patterns. The graffiti are linked to my own personal story. In the next step, the target group is defined and the purpose of the patterns. Following is a description of the development of patterns, which happened in three phases, where the aesthetics and/or the motives of the patterns changed, while the digitization process remained the same. The latter is explained first, followed by the work through the phases. In the third phase it demonstrates the process of creating compositions, the atmosphere of final patterns and the designing of different color variants. It ends with the representation of patterns on textile with the process of screenprinting and the presentation of finished products with photographs, results and conclusion.
