Thesis deals with the problem of wear of graphite electrodes in manufacturing grooves
with die-sink electroerosion. Manufacturing a groove often requires a long and unfavorably
shaped electrode, which in addition to poor rinsing of the slot in the groove
leads to excessive wear of the electrode. Three strategies with different combinations
of processing parameters are defined and required number of electrodes is produced.
Workpiece that illustrates the production of grooves from practice is designed. On the
coordinate measuring machine we measure the electrodes, manufacture grooves and remeasure
the electrodes. The difference in measurements and the visual inspection gives
us insight into the most suitable combination of parameters of die-sink electroerosion.
