The aim of this thesis is to represent the interactive white board as a school supply, to identify the ways it is used in schools, as well as its advantages and disadvantages. In the first part the Interactive white board is represented in general, together with its characteristics and advantages and disadvantages according to specialists/experts in the field of education and technologies. We also represent the board as a possible method of teaching grammar, vocabulary, written/oral expression and written/oral comprehension. The second part of the thesis deals with our research of the board use to teach French as a foreign language in Slovene schools. We represent our method of the research, the participants, the hypothesis of the research and the results.
