Abstract
Otroke že zelo zgodaj učimo, kako pravilno ločevati odpadke in kako z njimi ravnati racionalno.

Title:From tree to paper
Abstract:
We teach children how to properly separate waste and how to handle them rationally. Over the past few years, we have been putting a lot of emphasis on waste recycling, as this is the only way to contribute to a cleaner environment. The primary purpose of the diploma work was to raise awareness of the individual, the child, the progress of paper production, the mechanical and manual, the advantages and disadvantages that both processes bring to us and how we can help the environment ourselves, thus ensuring a better future for our environment. In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis I focused on the history of paper, the structure, the properties and the usability of paper in my everyday life, as well as the usefulness of the kindergarten. I devoted more emphasis to paper making, both mechanical and manual. In machine production, I managed to bring them closer to the process of using the Internet, while in manual production, children learned the process multi sensorally. The empirical part was attended by 46 professional workers of the kindergarten Hans Christian Andersen in Ljubljana. I focused on handmade paper, the sensibility of activities, the organization of work, products, what is their contribution to environmental awareness, the ingredients they used, the problems they encountered during the time of activity, and what the child is developing in handmade paper. The average age of professional workers was 41 years. It is anticipated that 70% of them had hand-made paper with children in kindergarten. They prefer the individual approach or up to four children in the group. Most believe that handmade recycled paper is just as useful as the factory, but they made greeting cards, paper, glues, etc. They do not consider it easy to process, from planning to final product, and they believe that the child develops a lot skills, creativity, cooperation, fine motoring and spatial presentation.
