Abstract
Predmet obravnave magistrskega dela je baročna slika Objokovanje (Kristus v grobu), ki je delo neznanega avtorja. Omenjeno umetniško delo so v preteklosti že večkrat podvrgli konservatorsko-restavratorskim posegom, kar je razvidno tudi iz konservatorsko-restavratorske dokumentacije in različnih preiskav. Različne nečistoče, potemnel in porumenel lak, področja z manjkajočo slikovno plastjo in deformacije nosilca, kot so luknje, močno kvarijo estetski videz slike. Original je v slabem stanju. Slabo stanje umetnine ogroža tudi gradnike slike, zaradi česar je potrebno konserviranje-restavriranje. V magistrski nalogi predstavljam dileme, s katerimi smo se soočili pri odstranjevanju neprimernega, potemnelega in poškodovanega laka, ter drugih motečih elementov s površine slike, s problematiko konserviranja-restavriranja platnenega nosilca in s problematiko izvedbe postopkov, ki se navezujejo na samo estetsko prezentacijo umetnine. Vsi ti postopki temeljijo na natančni izvedbi predhodnih testov.

Title:Aesthetic presentation of the painting Objokovanje from the depot of the National Gallery
Abstract:
The subject of this master thesis is a Baroque painting entitled Lamentation (Christ in a grave) painted by unknown author. Throughout the history, already mentioned work of art, has already been under several restoration treatments, which can be seen through the past documentation and research. The impurities, yellowed and darkened varnish, missing paint layer and canvas deformations, such as holes have severely damaged the paintings aesthetic point of view. Moreover due to the bad condition of the painting also the rest of the original is threatened, therefor the conservation-restoration treatment is needed. Throughout the master’s thesis I present the dilemmas in varnish removal, conservation-restoration of the canvas and procedures, which affect the paintings final presentation. The procedures were based on previously conducted tests.
