Abstract

Title:Process systems for production of biochar from wood biomass
Abstract:
In the master's thesis, the model of evaluating the production of biochar is presented, which besides technological requirements includes investment, operational, maintenance and costs of CO2 emissions in the production of biochar. Biochar is produced from wood biomass. The production of biochar, which is not intended for an alternative source of energy, represents a negative CO2 footprint. This would reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase the hectare yield by introducing biochar into the soil and enable the development of the local industry. Key producers of biochar processing plants on the market are presented. The model for system evaluation of production of biochar from wood biomass has been developed, including technological requirements, investement, operating and maintenance costs and prices of CO2 emission coupons.

Keywords:biomass, biochar, pyrolysis, circular economy, CO2 emision
