Abstract
Ustrezna izbira metod dela in vadbe v prvih letih treniranja rokometa pomembno vpliva na kasnejši razvoj in uspešnost igralcev.

Title:Analysis of young female handball players’ effort in adapted matches in reference to space and the number of players
Abstract:
A suitable working method in the first years of training handball has an important influence on the later development and performance of players. Since the beginning it is vital to guide players through their training process. Only with solid foundations can we form quality players who are able to face the challenges of the game. After examining professional literature, we can confirm the positive impact of small and modified handball games on the development of motoric skills, especially on specific endurance, aerobic strength and specific starting strength of handball players. An individual’s effort is measured with heart frequency. In this master’s thesis we carried out measurements with 11 to 12 years old girls. We established the level of effort in small modified games: 3 on 3 with a goalkeeper and 4 on 4 with a goalkeeper on fields of different sizes (24x12m, 30x15m and 36x16m). We analysed if there are any major differences between the games in the level of effort. The players played 18 model games in three weeks on small modified fields, 6 on every field size. The level of effort was measured with Polar Bluetooth Smart. Every player’s effort was recorded with Polar Team2 Pro application. The data was then put in an Excel chart. Basic statistical data was then calculated with SPSS programme and the difference between heart frequencies were noted for games 3 on 3 with a goalkeeper and 4 on 4 with a goalkeeper on fields of different sizes (24x12m, 30x15m and 36x16m). Among three hypothesis two were rejected, one confirmed. We established there are major differences in heart rate in games 3 on 3 with a goalkeeper and 4 on 4 with a goalkeeper on fields of different sizes (24x12m, 30x15m and 36x16m). However, there were no noticeable differences between games 3 on 3 and 4 on 4 with a goalkeeper. According to our findings we would recommend coaches of juniors using the method of small modified handball games as the prevailing means of training as they train specific endurance, aerobic strength and specific starting strength of handball players.
