Abstract

Title:3D Printing of Products on a filament basis
Abstract:
The thesis encompasses the literature on 3D polymer and metal printing technology and several processes of 3D printing, including the technology of 3D fused deposition modelling. The theoretical part of the thesis comprises some general information about sintering. In the experimental part, the FDM 3D printer in presented, as well as a comparison made between different polymer filaments and filaments that contain metal particles. A comparison of appearance, mass, expense analysis of the products (tensile test specimens) made from different filaments and a comparison of the results of the tensile test for each specimen made from different filaments and specimen fracture was made. In the final findings it is concluded that the filaments that contain metal particles are not appropriate for the manufacturing of metal products, but for the manufacturing of products that give the impression of metal, but are effectively not metal.
