Abstract
Namen članka je strokovno javnost seznaniti s Kosovelovim doslej nepoznanim prevodom in spodbuditi morebitni prevod Andersenove Slikanice brez slik v slovenščino.

Title:Kosovel’s manuscript translations of Andersen fairytales
Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to inform academic audiences about Kosovel’s manuscript translations and to motivate a possible translation of Andersen’s Picturebook Without Pictures into Slovene. Kosovel’s translations are a reflection of the values and the poetic position of the targeted Slovene culture. Andersen’s Picturebook Without Pictures consists of thirty-three tales, of which Kosovel translated two. The fairy tales were written as visual or picturebook text, or as a translation from visual to verbal text by using expressive language. Both authors verbalised visual text by adding emotional painting or creative reading of thoughts or ekphrasis (Maria Nikolajeva).
