Abstract
Razprava magistrskega dela se začne s samo definicijo confessional art in določitvijo ustreznega prevoda v slovenski jezik, s tem pa tudi tekom magistrskega dela z umestitvijo spovedne umetnosti v slovenski prostor. Zato je tudi naslov teoretičnega dela dokaj generičen, saj je ta zvrst umetnosti dokaj nepoznana, vsaj po definiciji, dokler ne omenimo kot »vodilne« ali bolje najbolj komercialno prepoznane predstavnice Tracey Emin. Ravno zato se je v svojem raziskovanju rahlo ogibam in skušam predstaviti druge primere njene generacije. To me je vodilo v raziskovanje predhodnikov ter kje in s kom se je vse začelo še pred prebojem na umetniški trg. Umetniški trg pa je le komponenta v vsakdanjem življenju in se oblikuje glede na življenjske dejavnike, ki nam narekujejo. Če/ko posameznik (v našem primeru umetnik) to opazi in se ne asimilira, lahko vzame umetnostno izražanje kot orodje. Od tod v nalogi sledijo poglavja o t. i. različnih modelih (kolektivne) identifikacije in umetnosti kot oblika terapije, v nalogi pa pred zaključitvijo z lastnimi avtorskimi deli in prezentacijo magistrskega praktičnega dela #Selfie pogledam, kje, če kje, je spoved v naši kulturni sceni.

Title:Confessional art / #Selfie
Abstract:
The discussion of the master's thesis starts with the basic definition of confessional art and then finding an appropriate translation into the Slovene language, and thus also during the master's thesis, with the introduction of confessional art into the Slovenian art scene. That is why the title of the theoretical MA thesis is fairly generic, since this type of art is quite unknown, at least by definition, until we mention Tracey Emin as the "best known" or better, most commercially recognized representative. And that is why, in my research, I try to present other examples of her generation. This led me to explore the precursors and where and with whom everything started before the breakthrough on the art market. The art market is merely a component in everyday life and is shaped according to the life factors that dictate to us. If / when an individual (in this case an artist) sees this and does not assimilate, he can take artistic expression as a tool. From there the order follows chapters on different models of (collective) identification and art as a form of therapy. Before concluding with my own works and presenting MA practical work #Selfie, I look where, if anywhere, confession is present in our cultural scene.
