Abstract
Zaradi vedno večjega števila udeležencev v prometu vsako leto predstavljajo prometne nezgode pomemben globalni problem. Analize prometnih nezgod lahko pripomorejo k izboljšanju prometne varnosti ter zmanjšanju števila prometnih nezgod v prihodnosti. V diplomski nalogi smo na začetku predstavili teoretične osnove nastanka prometnih nezgod ter poškodb udeležencev. V nadaljevanju smo s pomočjo spletne aplikacije analizirali prometne nezgode v Sloveniji glede na različne kriterije, pri čemer so obravnavani podatki pridobljeni iz javno dostopne baze prometnih nezgod. Prav tako smo analizirali, ali določeni časovni in prostorski parametri značilno vplivajo na pojavnost prometnih nezgod. Pri upoštevanju različnih parametrov smo ugotovili, da ob določenih pogojih prihaja do večjega števila prometnih nezgod oziroma huje poškodovanih in smrtno ponesrečenih udeležencev.

Title:Analysis of events in traffic accidents database
Abstract:
Traffic accidents represent important global problem due to increasing number of participants in traffic every year. Analysis of traffic accidents can help to improve road safety and reduce the number of traffic accidents in the future. In the diploma thesis, we initially presented the theoretical basis for the occurrence of traffic accidents and injuries of the participants. Furthermore, using the web application we analyzed traffic accidents in Slovenia according to various criteria, whereby the data are derived from a publicly accessible database of traffic accidents. We also analyzed whether certain time and spatial parameters have a significant impact on the incidence of traffic accidents. Considering various parameters, we found that under certain conditions greater number of accidents occurs, but also greater number of severely and deadly injured participants.
