The paper deals with the process of qualification and the development of a new supplier in the automotive industry and the process of complaint management in the early stages of cooperation with new suppliers. Complaint management and qualification process are presented in the paper on a practical example from a company perspective that is based as a tier one supplier in the industry. In addition, some key quality methods that are used in the process of supplier development are also presented. As a result of a paper, a simplified block diagram of activites with associated functions and necessary documents for an individual activity is presented.
