Vpliv diete z nizkim deležem ogljikovih hidratov na telesno sestavo in fizično zmogljivost zdravih odraslih žensk

Abstract
Z magistrskim delom smo raziskali vpliv 3-tedenske diete z nizko vsebnostjo ogljikovih hidratov (LC dieta) na telesno maso in sestavo ter na fizično zmogljivost odraslih zdravih žensk, ki so se pred začetkom raziskave vsaj 3 mesece ukvarjale z vadbo za moč in vzdržljivost. Raziskavo je uspešno zaključilo 10 preiskovank s povprečno starostjo 29,3 ± 7,9 let in povprečnim indeksom telesne mase 26,4 ± 3,9. Merili smo telesno maso, delež maščobne in mišične mase, obseg pasu in bokov. Za fizično zmogljivost smo izvajali test maksimalne moči s počepom s 5 maksimalnimi ponovitvami, 2 testa za vzdržljivostno moč z maksimalnim številom sklec in potegov na vadbenem traku v dveh minutah in test vzdržljivosti na simulatorju veslanja, s katerim smo merili minimalni čas veslanja na 2000 metrov. Preiskovanke so imele na običajni in LC dieti podoben energijski vnos (1467 : 1446 kcal), deleži makrohranil pa so se močno razlikovali (ogljikovi hidrati: 41,0 : 15,4 %; maščobe: 39,0 : 60,0 %; beljakovine: 20,0 : 24,5 %). Telesna masa se je po LC dieti znižala (– 1,3 kg), prav tako maščobna masa (– 0,8 kg), mišična masa se je ohranila, obsega pasu in bokov sta se zmanjšala (– 2,1 in – 0,9 cm). Na vseh testih fizične zmogljivosti ni bilo značilnih razlik med rezultati, torej preiskovanke na LC dieti niso poslabšale svoje maksimalne moči, vzdržljivostne moči in vzdržljivosti.

Title:Effects of low carb diet on body composition and physical performance
Abstract:
Our goal was to determine the effects of 3-week low carb (LC) diet on body composition and physical performance in healthy adult women, who were physically active at least 3 months before the start of our experiment. The experiment have successfully completed ten subjects, with an average age of 29,3 ± 7,9 years and average body mass index of 26,4 ± 3,9. We measured body mass, the percentages of fat mass and muscle mass and the circumferences of the waist and hips. The tests for physical performance were back squats with 5 repetition maximum strength test, maximum number of pushups and rows on suspension trainer in 2 minutes and best 2000 m time on indoor rower. The average caloric intake of control and LC diet was very similar (1467 : 1446 kcal), while the percentages of macronutrients intake were very different (carbohydrates: 41,0 : 15,4 %; fats: 39,0 : 60,0 %; proteins: 20,0 : 24,5 %). LC diet lowered the body mass (– 1,3 kg), fat mass (– 0,8 kg), while maintained muscle mass and also lowered the circumference of belt (– 2,1 cm) and hips (– 0,9 cm). Physical performance tests have shown slight improvement after LC diet but the differences were not statistically significant, so we conclude that LC diet did not impair strenght and endurance in our subjects.
