Abstract
Uvod: Večina laboratorijev izdeluje delno protezo kovinsko bazo še po tradicionalnem postopku ulivanja. V zadnjem času pa so se pojavile tudi nove tehnologije za izdelavo kovinske baze na primer s tehnologijo SLM in SLA, ki se vse pogosteje uporabljajo tudi v naših zobotehničnih laboratorijih. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je opisati in medsebojno primerjati tri metode izdelave kovinskega ogrodja za delno protezo in to prikazati tudi na praktičnem modelu. Metode dela: Diplomsko delo je pripravljeno na podlagi pregleda strokovne literature in praktičnega dela. Kovinsko ogrodje za delno protezo smo izdelali po treh različnih metodah tehnologije: metodi ulivanja kovinske baze, SLA tehnologiji in SLM tehnologiji. Izbrane tehnologije niso odločilno vplivale na končni videz kovinskih ogrodij. Kovinsko ogrodje, ki je izdelano po metodi s tehnologijo SLM smo nato izgotovili do končnega izdelka. Praktično delo je izvedeno v zobnem laboratoriju in dokumentirano s slikovnim gradivom. Rezultati: Poleg uveljavljene metode ulivanja kovinske baze smo prikazali tudi dve sodobnejši metodi izdelave kovinskega ogrodja za delno protezo. Tehnologije se med seboj razlikujejo po samem načinu dela, izbiri strojne opreme, od znanja in izkušenj laboratorijskega zobnega protetika in uporabljenem materialu, končni izdelek pa je pri vseh ustrezen. Razprava in sklep: Izdelava kovinskega ogrodja za delno protezo po različnih metodah izdelave je pokazala, da se tehnologije razlikujejo po uporabljenem materialu in delovnih strojih. Vse kovinske konstrukcije so na koncu primerljive med seboj in vizualno med njimi ni razlik. Med postopkom izdelave kovinskih ogrodij smo ugotovili, da je prihajalo do razlik med poliranjem konstrukcij, glede na tehnologijo izdelave.

Title:Review of three different methods for manufacture of metal base for partial denture : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: Most laboratories produce a metal base for partial prosthesis with the traditional casting procedure, but several new technologies for producing a metal base appeared. Besides the tradicional casting process of the metal base, the production of metal structures with SLM technology and stereolithography is also available on the market, which is increasingly used in dental laboratories. Purpose: The purpose of my diploma work is to describe and compare three methods of making a metal base for partial prosthesis and present it with the practical model. Methods: Diploma work has been prepared based on the review and examination of Slovene and foreign professional literature. The metal base for partial prosthesis was manufactured using three different methods of technology: metallic base casting methods, SLA technology and SLM technology. The selected technologies did not have a decisive influence on the final appearance of metal frames. The metal base according to the SLM method was then made to the final product. Practical work is carried out in a dental laboratory and documented with image material. Results: In addition to the established method of casting the metal base, we also presented two more modern methods od making a metal frame for partial prosthesis. Technologies differ from each other according to the choice of hardware and the material used. The final product is appropriate for all. Conclusion: The production of a metal base according to three different manufacturing methods has shown that the technologies vary in the materials and the machinery we used. All metal structures are in the end comparable to each other and there is no difference between them. During the proces of making metal bases, we found that there were differences between the polishing, according to the chosen technology.
