Abstract
Rezultati: V diplomskem delu so predstavljene posamezne delovne faze izdelave kovinskega ogrodja: manualno modeliranje in ulivanje, CAD-modeliranje z rezkanjem, selektivno lasersko taljenje in stereolitografija.

Title:Technologies of manufacturing metal coping for metal ceramic restoration : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: Metal frames for the metal-ceramic restoration can be made using various methods. All design methods must ensure that all the loads that affect the oral cavity are tolerated and provide a good starting point for the application of ceramics. Purpose: The purpose of the diploma work is to present in theory and pictures various methods in the fabrication of metal frames for the metal-ceramic bridge, to construct bridge frames using the described methods, and to find out the percentage of use of a particular method in dental laboratories throughout Slovenia using a questionnaire. Methods of work: The methods that were used in dental procedures include a review of scientific literature, collecting data using a survey, practical work in a dental laboratory, and the preparation of illustrative material. Results: In the diploma the individual work phases of the fabrication of metal frames are demonstrated: manual modeling and casting, CAD-modeling with milling, selective laser melting and stereolithography. The results of the survey on the use of different technologies for the fabrication of frames in Slovenia are shown. Furthermore, five metal frames are presented and fabricated according to different manufacturing technologies. Discussion and conclusion: There are numerous ways of designing a metal frame for the metal-ceramic bridge, but most importantly, the procedures must be optimal for fabrication, and that the results are of the highest quality for the patient.
