Abstract

Abstract:
On the example of novels Filio is not at home and Angel of oblivion this undergraduate thesis attempts to show, that relationship between mother and daughter is not always unconditionally loving and devoted. Although the first novel is an dystopian novel and the other one is autobiographical and therefore very different, we can find some parallels between them. Both novels are placed in a remote place, which is under influence of totalitarian regime. In such place it is hard to maintain a loving personal relationship. Relations between mother and daughter are in both novels dysfunctional. Mothers are not capable to understand their daughters, so they can't develop loving contact with them.
