Abstract
Pričujoče diplomsko delo se ukvarja s Heideggrovima fenomenoma biti-k-smrti in tesnobe, hkrati pa ju poskuša umestiti v kontekst Zupanovega proznega pisanja v zbirki Gora brez Prometeja. Heideggrove filozofije pa ne jemlje samo kot kontekstualno-pojmovnega okvira, preko katerega se loteva Zupanove proze, temveč tudi metodološko, preko Heideggrove metode, kot jo je uporabil pri analizi Hölderlinovega pesništva. Tako se trudi Zupana utemeljiti ne samo preko njegovega veščega pisanja, temveč tudi preko upovedovanja tesnobe in biti-k-smrti, ki ju je v svojem pisanju umetelno izrazil. In, posledično, je v Zupanovem pisanju zaradi tega nakazano tudi, kako se osvoboditi skrivanja pred njima in ju sprejeti kot dejanskost naše tubiti.

Abstract:
The following thesis talks about Martin Heidegger's concepts of being-towards-death and angst and to find those two concepts in Vitomil Zupan's short fiction collection Gora brez Prometeja. Martin Heidegger's philosophy is not only taken as a contextual guide, this thesis also tries to reflect Zupan's writing through the method of Heidegger's analysis of Hölderlin's poetry and thus tries to argue that Zupan's work is not merely good in the context of his writing skills, but also through the context of expressing angst and being-towards-death. And, consequently, Zupan also indicated a way how one can free himself from hiding from them and accept them as part of one's existence.
