The subject of the undergraduate thesis are the works of Miroslav Krleža and Walter Benjamin, titled Trip to Russia and Moscow diary. The intention of the undergraduate thesis is to study the image of Russia in both works. Miroslav Krleža and Walter Benjamin were in Russia in the 1920s, therefore their experience is connected to the post-revolutionary era. Inside both works we will highlight the parts that can be compared. With this comparison we will be able to figure out their relation to the described topic. Something will be said about the history of Russia and its policy of the time, which will help us understand what Benjamin and Krleža are writing about in their works. The thesis closes with a presentation of the findings and the definiton of the image of Russia in works Trip to Russia and Moscow Diary, according to the terminology of Daniel-Henri Pageaux.
