Abstract
Vsebina diplomskega dela obravnava problemsko tematiko smrt, vlogo vzgojitelja pri njeni obravnavi in metode obravnave problemske tematike v vrtcu. V teoretičnem delu smo opredelili problemsko tematiko smrt in opisali doživljanje otroka ob soočenju z njo. Opredelili smo faze žalovanja in povedali, kako lahko otroku pomagamo ob izgubi. V nadaljevanju smo povedali, kdaj in kako lahko predšolskega otroka soočimo s problemsko tematiko izgube. Ugotovili smo, da je primeren način za seznanjanje s problemsko tematiko tudi skozi otroške pravljice, saj tako na nevsiljiv način otroku približamo vprašanja izgube, smrti in žalovanja. Cilj diplomskega dela je izvesti projekt v vrtcu, pri katerem se skozi pravljice v slikaniški obliki obravnava motivno-tematske prvine problemske tematike (smrt, umiranje, žalovanje). S pomočjo nestrukturiranih intervjujev na vzorcu šestih otrok ugotavljamo, ali lahko otrokom skozi pravljice približamo pojma smrt in žalovanje. V nadaljevanju pa s pomočjo anketnih vprašalnikov na vzorcu tridesetih vzgojiteljic ugotavljamo, ali v vrtcih obravnavajo problemsko tematiko smrt in metode obravnave.

Title:Pre-schoolˈs teacherˈs role in methodical treatment of the death problematics in kindergarten
Abstract:
The content of this degree paper concerns the subject of death, the role of an educator in dealing with it and the methods of dealing with it in kindergarten. The theoretical part defines the problems of dealing with death and describes how children react when dealing with it. We defined the stages of grief and showed how to help children dealing with loss. We showed the following when and how to introduce the subject of death to preschool children. We determined that an appropriate way to introduce the subject of death also through children’s stories and fairytales which unobtrusively show and define the subjects of loss, death, and grief. The goal of the degree paper is to perform a project in the kindergarten which deals with the motive and the subjects of the problem (death, dying, and grief) through picture book stories. By means of unstructured interviews, based on the sample of six children, we tried to establish whether the subjects such as death and grief can be explained or partially explained to children through picture book stories. By means of the questionnaire, based on the sample of thirty kindergarten teachers, we tried to determine if the subject of death is handled in the kindergartens and how they deal with it.
