This diploma study is mainly focused on collagraphy as a technique of intaglio print. I presented different collagraph techniques out of which I emphasize the exposure out of dark basis. My content and formal analyses are based on this technique, which I practically approached myself. The main two visual elements which appear in my graphic prints are light-dark and the line.
In addition, I presented a number of artists who also made graphic prints in collagraphy and artists who implemented their own visual ideas in different intaglio techniques. In the chosen graphic works of the introduced artists I found differences and similarities between the techniques of intaglio print and the characteristic value of individual techniques. Every technique has their own expressive potential and certain features which make it special and also different from the others. Various graphic techniques for achieving different visual ideas exist because of these differences.
