Abstract
Magistrsko delo poskuša prikazati okoliščine razvoja slovenskega šansona in vlogo njegovega osrednjega akterja Franeta Milčinskega - Ježka, ki bi ga po mnenju nekaterih lahko označili za prvega slovenskega kantavtorja. Kronološki pregled delovanja kantavtorjev, ki so živeli ali še živijo na območju Slovenije, bo prikazan kar se da natančno in reprezentativno; pod drobnogledom bodo kljub vsemu (le) trije kantavtorji, ki so za slovensko ustvarjanje na tovrstnem področju zaradi umetniške kakovosti in pomena njihovega ustvarjanja morda najpomembnejši - Tomaž Pengov, Marko Brecelj in Jani Kovačič. V kantavtorsko ustvarjanje in šanson, kjer se stikata glasba in poezija, so bili poleg glasbenikov vpeti tudi številni literarni ustvarjalci, med drugim Svetlana Makarovič, Gregor Strniša in Milan Dekleva - nekateri med njimi so pisali šansone, drugi zgolj besedila zanje ali besedila za bolj popevkarske skladbe, kar nakazuje, da sta kantavtorstvo in literarna beseda kot tudi šanson in literarna beseda še kako povezana. Interpretacija in iskrena izpoved, ki sta ključni sestavini tovrstnega ustvarjanja, segata že v srednji vek; v 12. stoletje, ko so o ljubezni iz daljave, o zgodah in nezgodah slehernika prepevali trubadurji. To so bili večstransko glasbeno delujoči posamezniki, ki so v eni osebi - prav tako kot kantavtorji - poosebljali pisca besedila, pisca glasbe in interpreta ter izvajalca.

Abstract:
My Masters Degree Thesis describes circumstances in which chanson in Slovenia has developed as well as the role of its main representer - Frane Milčinski Ježek, who is arguably the first Slovenian singer-songwriter. Chronological overview of current and past Slovenian singer-songwriters will be presented, however, for purpose of this Thesis I will only choose three of them for further and in-depth research as they are probably most important for their contribution in this area due to their artistic quality. They are Tomaž Pengov, Marko Brecelj in Jani Kovačič. There is a special singing-songwritting and chanson bond where music in poetry have often been represented by literary composers such as Svetlana Makarovič, Gregor Strniša and Milan Dekleva. Some of them have written chansons or lyrics for them, others have done lyrics for more popular, now already evergreen songs. All of these combinations prove a strong connection between a literary word, chanson and singing-songwritting. An interpretation as well as sincere performance which are known to be the key ingredients of that kind of art, have already been appearing in 12th century when troubadours were singing about fortunate or unfortunate love stories of everyman - these multiateral artist have combined lyricist, music composers and interprets all in one person as well as singer-songwrites do nowadays.
