Throughout history children have always been in a subordinate position. All decisions were made by their parents. The children were exposed to various violent situations that left them scarred for the rest of their life. First changes were related to child labor. Later on, rights of the child took on an important role in society. I examined the state of children's rights using methods of analysis, descriptions, compilation, collection of data, comparison and study of literature. Source of information in my master's thesis were studies, researches, reports, legislation and other documents. This thesis is aimed at the general public audience, whose interests are in children's rights for victims of violence, child involvement in procedures related to violence and cases involving sexual abuse of children. The thesis describes conditions to promote and improve protection of children's rights. A society that respects the rights of the child respects its most vulnerable members.
