Abstract
Diplomsko delo prikazuje institucionalno varstvo starejših ter kakovost in zadovoljstvo uporabnikov storitev institucionalnega varstva. Storitve institucionalnega varstva zajemajo oblike pomoči, s katerimi uporabnikom – stanovalcem nadomeščajo oziroma dopolnjujejo storitve doma, lastne družine, bivanje, zdravstveno oskrbo in nego, varstvo in organizirano prehrano. Dom starejših občanov se zavzema za ohranjanje in doseganje kakovostnega bivanja starejših, celovite obravnave slednjih ter izvajanje ustrezne kakovostne oskrbe in nege ter varstva. Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti zadovoljstvo uporabnikov storitev doma starejših občanov. Cilj je ugotoviti kakovost storitev Doma starejših občanov Ljubljana Vič - Rudnik, s poudarkom na zadovoljstvu stanovalcev in svojcev s storitvami. Na podlagi ugotovljenega je prav tako cilj podati predloge za izboljšave. V empiričnem delu diplomskega dela je bila opravljena anonimna raziskava, ki je bila razdeljena posebej za stanovalce in svojce. Z raziskavo sem želela ugotoviti zadovoljstvo stanovalcev s storitvami Doma starejših občanov Ljubljana Vič - Rudnik. Prav tako me je zanimal vidik svojcev, kakšno mnenje imajo glede zadovoljstva sorodnika z bivanjem v izbranem domu starejših občanov. Rezultati izvedene raziskave so pokazali, da so stanovalci v veliki meri zadovoljni z bivanjem v domu starejših, vendar si na nekaterih področjih želijo manjših sprememb. Svojci so prav tako izrazili zadovoljstvo s storitvami doma starejših, ki jih je deležen njihov sorodnik.

Abstract:
This diploma thesis is trying to show an institutional care among elder people and the quality and contentment among residents in retirement homes. Services of institutional care include different types of help which to residents of retirement home serve as a substitute or as a replenishment of services related to home, family, well being, healthcare, security and organized diet. In general, a retirement home is striving for maintenance and reaching the quality residence of elder people, for their whole treatment and pursuance of quality healthcare and security. To sum up, the purpose of the thesis is to represent the contentment among residents in selected retirement homes. Concretely, the objective is to define the quality of services held by the retirement home Ljubljana Vič – Rudnik, with emphasis on the contentment of their residents and their relatives with the services. Based on the research the goal is also to give suggestions for improvements. To continue the empirical part of the dissertation contains anonymous research which was divided into two groups, one for residents and the other one for their relatives. With the research, I wanted to define the contentment of the residents of retirement home Ljubljana Vič – Rudnik. Furthermore, I was interested into relatives' point of view about the residents' contentment with their residence in the chosen retirement home. Presented results showed that the residents are in the most cases content with their residence in the retirement home, however, they would like to see some improvements in certain areas. The relatives also expressed the contentment with the retirement homes' services.
