This study of employment opportunities in the European Union is intended to provide future job seekers with information on current employment opportunities in the EU, and how to successfully and effectively find employment there. The purpose of studying employment options in the EU was to determine what was necessary to successfully find employment abroad, as well as to analyse the possibilities of finding employment in the EU. The goal of this diploma thesis was to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of employment in the EU, and to assess the current prospects of finding work abroad. In the study, the qualitative method of data collection was employed. Semi-structured interviews with 10 employed participants in the EU that consisted of pre-prepared questions were used to explore the various possibilities of finding employment in the EU. However, it is also possible to find success abroad without having any formal education, as qualifications or knowledge of the language are not requirements for certain professions. Having work experience is, of course, an advantage, but not a requirement. It is possible to find work in every field. Being informed about what documentation is needed is important in order to avoid complications. This can be done by communicating with friends or on social media. Job seekers can find the job search process easier if they already know someone abroad who can help them in looking for work or finding it, e.g. friends, acquaintances or family. So we can conclude that he study met its goal: namely, to provide future job seekers with information on current possibilities for employment in the EU.
