In my thesis I introduced my own work entitled The Last Smoke. With my work I wanted to expose the frequent tobacco industry propaganda in our lives. The thesis consists of a video collage that plays with multiple screens that are turned on and off.
The video was made up from different parts of films and animation, where characters smoke their cigarettes. This way we see propaganda at its crucial moment, when it shows us how to use its products.
The thesis also explored the history of tobacco use, examples of tobacco in fine art, sports, films and television and Hollywood.
