In this master's thesis, I dealt with different areas of systemization of work in Slovenia, work analysis and methods for work analysis. The definition of competencies, their components and competency profiles are also presented. The theoretical part of the thesis, which later acts as a basis for the empirical part containing also Rules on the Systemization of workplace in the Company XY, focuses on collecting knowledge and data from scientific and specialized literature. The main objective of the thesis is to show how competency profiles are applied in job descriptions in a company undergoing restructuring. I wanted to stress the importance of the competency profiles being included in the systemization of workplace in modern companies, which are constantly changing. I presumed that competencies are a suitable tool to manage big changes, which result from the restructure of the company. From the analysis of literature and work analysis, I gained information needed for job description and design the competency profile. I used an open type questionnaire, a qualitative method, to analyze work.
