The purpose of the research was to determined the diffrence between three diferent methods of celery seedlings cultivation (Apium graveolens var. Rapaceum Mill.). We found out the difference between pre-germinated seeds planted directly into the cultivation plates, common seeds which were planted into seedbed and when the first leaves appeared we moved them into the cultivating plates and common seeds who was planted directly into the cultivating plates. Measurments was made in four repetitions of 84 holes in the cultivating plates. We measured in ten to fourteen days. We measured the difference between spourting appearance of three to four first true leaves, the height above ground part of the plants, the length of the underground part, the height of the root neck, the diameter of the root neck, the mass of the plants, the number of leaves and the dry mass. We showed results in the tables and graphs. We found out, that there is a difference between spourting and methods of celery seedling cultivations. The fastest spourt and growth had plants who growth from pre-germinated seeds, followed by plants who spourted from the common seeds and were planted into the seedbed and moved into the cultivating plates, after the first true leaves growth. The slowest spourt and growth had the plants who were directly planted into the cultivating plates. The best choice for cultivating seeds are pre-germinated seeds. They have the fastest spourt and they produce the best quality seeds without intermediate transplanting processes. We have found, that the best quality seedlings are grown from pre-germinated seeds, without intermediate procedures and with lower risks for unsuccessful planting.
