Vpliv formalnih in konceptualnih širitev slikarskega prostora v 60 letih na sodobno umetnost/Moja dela v prostoru in času

V modernem in sodobnem slikarstvu sta konceptualni in zaznavni prostor pogosto prepletena, ali celo kombinirana. Orbitalno gibanje oblik, kot osnovni element evropskega slikarstva, od renesanse naprej, je imelo v bistvu glavni namen vzbuditi in obdržati gledalčevo pozornost znotraj začrtanega okvirja. Druga polovica 20. in zgodnje 21. stoletje pa je slikarski prostor neverjetno razširilo. Prostor se tako širi v smeri abstraktnih slik, v smeri ogromnih dimenzij, ki vlečejo gledalčevo oko tako na zid, ki obdaja slikarsko delo, kot tudi v prostor, ki umetniško delo obdaja. V nalogi bom zajela razširitev slikarskega prostora v visokem modernizmu 60. let 20. stoletja, s poudarki na posameznih umetniških gibanjih, ki so se pojavili v tem času. Obenem bom poskušala potegniti vzporednice med umetniškimi dogajanji 60. let in njihovim vplivom na sodobno slikarstvo.

• Title: Effects of the formal and conceptual painting space expansion in 60 years on contemporary art/My works in space and time

Abstract

In a modern and contemporary painting, are the conceptual and perceptual painting space often intertmixed, or even combined. The orbital movement of forms, as the basic element of the European painting, since the Renaissance, had acctualy the main purpose of stirring up and keeping the spectator's attention within the exactly specified frame. The second half of the 20th and the early 21st century enlarged the painting space unexpectedly. The space is so spreading in the direction of abstract paintings, and in the direction of huge dimensions that try to keep the viewer's eye to the area of the painting work surrounding wall, as well as to the space that surrounding the work of art. In my master work I am going to investigate the expansion of the painting space in the high Modernism in the 60s of the 20th century, with an emphasis on individual artistic movements that occurred during this time. At the same time, I will try to find some parallels between the artistic events of the 60s and their influence on the contemporary painting.
