From space to place, from place to home analyzes artworks 1:1 and 16m2 in which I focus on the relation between the human and his domestic habitat. Both works serve as a basis for a dividing process of creating an active, living place into three phases I recognized as crucial. During the first phase, I write about the body which establishes itself in space, mainly focusing on how we perceive the space through our bodies. The following phase deals with the question of forming the place. What does determinate it, how do we limit and mark it? Lastly, I briefly describe the concept of active space and connect it with the process of developing the notion of home.
