In this diploma thesis, we researched the problem of information access in the intermunicipal society of workers with disabilities and their knowledge of mobile technologies. Based on our findings, we developed a website, that enables access to said information through the internet, which means more accessible and faster access to information, so they don't have to personally report to the registered seat of the society, to acquire said information.
Evaluation of knowledge and usage form mobile technologies and keen contents for members, supporting members and individuals that intend on becoming members, we used a questionnaire. For the development of our website we used XAMPP, which offers a collection of useful tools, among which is Apache and MySQL were used.
During our research, we discovered that members, supporting members and individuals, that intend on becoming members, receive information (involving their disability) through phone calls, e-mail and at registered seat of the society. Despite their below average knowledge and usage in mobile technologies, it is evident from our research, that they want to have access to information through the internet in the form of a website.
To reach higher usability of our website in practice, we added functionality, which has been expressed by our interviewee as important. They are the picture gallery, member achievements, and functionality of reading and writing jokes, whose purpose is to encourage usage among older members, who have shown interest, however, lack the needed knowledge for browsing the internet. For more natural control over the website, we added a user interface for moderators, which enables members to add, change and delete content and other information on the site, without any knowledge of programming.
