Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing is a process with many benefits in comparison to conventional manufacturing methods: quick prototyping, repair of existing products and high material efficiency. Due to these properties, the use of wire arc additive manufacturing is especially interesting in areas, which require use of expensive metals. This thesis explains the theoretical basics of MIG/MAG welding and wire arc additive manufacturing. We have investigated the effect of pulse welding parameters on the efficiency and geometry of stainless steel samples. We came to the conclusion, that the use of this method is possible if appropriate welding parameters are chosen in regard to the requirements. We tested this by producing a final product with relatively complex geometry.
